“ For some reason, I had difficulty deciphering the menu. Apparently I was the only one. Anyway, I ate the chicken fried steak with french fries. The staff was very attentive to our orders and other needs. The food was also very delicious. The restaurant seemed fairly clean and well maintained. Overall, I would recommend this place to those who live in town or those like myself who are merely passing through. ”

The service, food is served cafeteria style, except for the special today, which was brought to my table in a timely fashion. The food: What can I say, great chicken fried steak, great mashed potatoes with gravy. The green beans? Nothing I have ever tasted was like them, if my tastebuds are correct, along with the standard bacon, onion, and pepper I believe they added just enough garlic to take the flavor over the top for me! Great place! I will definitely be a repeat customer and am anticipating the rest of the menu! ”

I thought maybe I was biased because it's the local and in my routine, but family from out of town all comment that this bbq turkey is extra special. We've done catering a d they were on it! Really good, nice service. I have been numerous times with only one time was something missing or errant in the order. Sauce is a thin, unique kind of sauce. It's good, but just a little different than typical bbq in east Texas. Good place for family, local, easy paced bbq. ”
